Beekeeping in MarylandAttention all beginning beekeepers!
(Or just people who are interested in bees!)

CMBA Beekeepers Introductory Short Course
Spring 2018

This course will provide you with the basic concepts and practices for starting and maintaining a colony of bees. Our class meets once a week for 5 weeks at the Oregon Ridge Nature Center, 13555 Beaver Dam Rd., Cockeysville, MD  21030. Afterwards, a full-day, hands-on field day will give you your first taste of beekeeping experience.  When you register for the course, you are also given full membership in CMBA for 2018.  You will have access to our membership meetings, library materials, hands-on access at the teaching and research apiary, and participation in board proceedings.

Are you an active Baltimore County teacher, public or private? You are eligible for a full refund when you complete the course. We want our kids to know about bees, too! Ask for more information at
